Ania Telfer is an arts-based mental health therapist, Master of Counselling graduate, professional artist and spiritually focused expressive arts therapist.
Ania specializes in trauma-informed, evidence-based therapy, integrating experiential, somatic, and expressive arts approaches with neuroscience, attachment theory, and mindfulness. Her practice supports clients in navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and emotional challenges, fostering deep healing and personal transformation. Ania therapeutic approach fosters resiliency and hope with a focus on life-affirming interventions. She brings over two decades of arts-based learning experience and a deep understanding of research to her therapeutic work, using creative modalities to promote emotional resilience and well-being. Ania’s graduate research focused on military war trauma and how arts can support healing.
Ania has lived, worked, and traveled across Europe and Asia, speaks several languages, and loves learning about different cultures. She loves water and horses and is currently involved in training a very cute service dog.
Clients: Ania sees children, youth, couples, and adults experiencing trauma, veteran and first responder related challenges, anxiety, grief, childhood issues, addictions, life transitions, and emotional regulation.
Insurance: As a mental health therapist, Ania is not currently covered by insurance benefits, but will be soon as her registration is processed with the relevant agencies. Ania is offering a reduced rate of $120/ therapeutic hour. Sliding scale available, please inquire.
