Natalie Mereniuk
Hello! I’m Natalie (she/her), and I’m truly glad you’re here. I’ve recently joined North Land Family Counselling Group, and my hope is that this can be a place where you feel safe, supported, and understood as you work through the challenges that brought you to counselling.
I see therapy as a collaborative process—we work together, side by side. My approach is heart centred and flexible, shaped by your unique story, strengths, and goals. While therapy can involve difficult conversations, I also believe in the power of laughter and lightness along the way. When it feels right, I enjoy weaving humour into the process, because sometimes laughter itself can be a form of healing.
My path into this field combines my medical background, curiosity about the brain, and deep joy in helping others live meaningful, healthy lives. Over the past 15 years, I’ve worked with individuals, couples, families, children and communities in nonprofits, schools, and outreach programs. These experiences have reinforced my belief that therapy works best when it honours the whole person—your mind, body, relationships, culture, and values.
I draw on therapies like Narrative, Emotion-Focused, IFS, CBT, and Play, while also integrating mindfulness and somatic (mind–body) approaches. Together, we’ll use these tools to uncover patterns, release tension, and create healthier ways forward—all in a space where you feel supported, understood, and empowered.
